This is the sort of corner takeaway store that everyone should go to! Awesome food, including some delicious cakes and slices too. Burger was unreal, the chips or the best I’ve had and the prices are so reasonable. An awesome experience I’ve been back a few times.

Thanks, Jim, for the 1st class service and delicious food. Initial review: Best fish and chips by far in Brisbane. Ordered the crumbed salmon, chips, kabana, and calamari. Husband and I finished it instantly. Happy tummy. Value for money as well. We will definitely come back. Yums!

Big Jim's is hands down the best takeaway/fish n chips in not only Holland Park but probably this side of the Brissy river. They're ever consistent! So much so that's I've been coming here for years and don't even live in the suburb. Always tastes fresh i.e. no old oil taste. They also sell Greek goodies, meals and salads not listed on the menu. Service is generally quick too. Can't fault them tbh!! I'll continue coming back

Big Jim's has got it going on with their beef burger combo. Seriously, the chips here are the real deal – best in Brisbane, hands down. The whole meal is just spot on: tasty burger, awesome chips, and a KIRKS ginger beer to wash it down. It's heaps good value and you won't leave hungry, that's for sure!

Fantastic food as always! The beef burger was delicious and the homemade potato scallops are the best we have ever had. Our go to local fish and chip shop and such good value!

Had fish and chips for the first time tonight. The fish was amazing and calamari so tender. Chips are always good!!! Homemade potato scallops were fluffy potato inside the batter. Yum!!!
